The Last Stand of the 6-Percenters…the Last Stand for the Status Quo in Real Estate?

Damon Darlin recently wrote a great article in the New York Times regarding the efforts of many in the Real Estate industry to keep the 6% commission as the status quo and their actions against new real estate companies who offer buyers and sellers more flexible pricing systems. From the National Association of Realtors (NAR), to MLS assciations and individual real estate agents, there have been numerous attempts to prevent access to MLS information, pass laws requiring minimum service levels and denials of access to view properties by some traditional real estate agents.
